The company name should always appear with the first letters of each word capitalized:

• Correct = The Nielsen Company
• Correct = Nielsen
• Incorrect = the Nielsen Company

Do not abbreviate the name in any way:

• Correct = The Nielsen Company
• Incorrect = TNC

Individual service names, such as Nielsen Media Research, ACNielsen etc, are discontinued.

• Correct = TV ratings from The Nielsen Company show that ...
• Incorrect = TV ratings from Nielsen Media Research show that ...
